At Tectonic we are delving back into the world of solar photovoltaic micro generation systems for both domestic and commercial properties. Working under the guidance of the NICEIC MCS scheme along with the added customer protection of the RECC, providing customers the reassurance of the guarantees these offer, and the high standards that we are always achieving for our clients.
This means that we can now assist our Eastbourne customers with solar installations, battery storage, fault finding, bird protection, adding to existing systems and integration of other renewable products, such as EV charging points.
Over recent years there have been some major breakthroughs in technology and battery storage solutions. The renewable sector has changed, with the original FIT payments being removed by the Government and now the new SEG payments put in place, helping micro energy producers to claim back payments from energy providers.
These vary tremendously across providers, clients and your exact requirements, i.e. time scales, car charging, low and high usage etc, so you need to shop wisely depending on your requirements. With the current increase in energy tariffs being offered by energy suppliers we can now recommend the use of battery energy storage systems. These systems can make use of more of the solar energy produced in your home or work place and then save this for use when you want to use it.
Are you an existing myenergi customer?
Did you know that if you have an existing Zappi or an Eddie from myenergi you can now integrate this with one of the newest and most advanced UK based intelligent home battery storage systems: Libbi. A modular electrical energy storage system designed in the UK, comprising of a 5KWh storage battery system, and by combing four of these together you can have up to 20KWh of storage. In our opinion, this is a game changer for integration in domestic smart home installations.

We provide all our solar PV customers with deposit insurance along with workmanship warranties to give you extra protection as well as peace of mind. Your system needs to be designed, installed, and commissioned correctly and you also need a company that understands your needs and lifestyle to make sure you are provided with the most appropriate system that suits you. MCS stands for Microgeneration Certification Scheme. It is a quality assurance scheme to demonstrate the quality and reliability of approved products and installers. This means that we are assessed annually by an assessor, who visits our solar installation sites to inspect our installations, check all our documentation, insurance and health and safety practices, to ensure that we are following the MCS scheme and RECC code.
It is a requirement of any approved RECC solar member to ensure that their customers must have deposit protection offered when paying a deposit, and workmanship warranties for any solar installations. At Tectonic we are proud members of the RECC and are MCS approved contractors, and we will provide deposit insurance (if a deposit is taken) and workmanship insurance upon completion of your solar installation. This is sent directly to our customer’s email address.
